Inside the Key Executive Leadership MPA Program classroom.

1. What is the Key Executive Leadership MPA Program?
The Key Executive Leadership MPA Program is a graduate degree program designed for professionals (GS-13 and above). Participants maintain employment while attending courses on selected weekends (Friday and Saturday or Friday, Saturday and Sunday) for 22-24months. The Key Executive mission is to foster better government by educating professionals and managers to become effective, top-quality team and executive leaders. Key Executive courses provide exposure to all of the ECQs required by OPM for Senior Executive Service consideration.

2. What makes Key an "Executive" program?

The Key Executive Leadership MPA Program is an "executive" program in that it offers mid-career and senior level professionals the opportunity to earn an accelerated MPA degree while continuing to work in their full-time position.

3. Must I take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) to be admitted to the Key Executive Leadership MPA Program?
No. Program requirements are listed here.

4. What minimum grade-point average (GPA) is needed for admission?
Though the Key program is highly competitive, it does not have a minimum GPA required for admission. The program considers the academic credentials along with an applicant's professional experience.

Tuition and most fees, including the cost of textbooks.

6. What payment options are available?
Students (or their agency or other sponsor) may pay by federal fiscal year; by course; by semester; OR in a lump sum at the start of the program. Third-party payments from a governmental agency are accepted by electronic funds transfer (EFT). Federal credit card payments are accepted for American University course work.

7. How do I apply for a guaranteed student loan?
The federal government makes available low interest rate, guaranteed student loans for eligible U.S. citizens. Loans may be subsidized or unsubsidized. You do NOT need to wait until you are admitted to begin the guaranteed student loan process. To apply, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
